Most people, especially those prone to Pitta imbalances, should avoid or minimise excessive exercise, alcohol, and foods that are salty, sour and pungent, or hot in nature during the high summer heat. โ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธโ˜€๏ธ

As the quote from the classical text states โ€œone should either drink alcohol in little quantity or should not drink at allโ€.

Some tips:ย 

  1. Avoid excess alcohol ๐Ÿทโ€จ
  2. Stay well hydrated! We love coconut water or diluted pomegranate or grape juice ๐Ÿฅฅ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‡โ€จ
  3. If you consume alcohol, stay out of the sun (Donโ€™t drink at the beach)! โ˜€๏ธ
  4. โ€จDonโ€™t drink on an empty stomach.โœ‹
  5. โ€จDonโ€™t drink if you feel weak and tired ๐Ÿฅฑ
  6. โ€จKeep cool by sprinkling water or spraying rose water mist on your face ๐ŸŒน
  7. โ€จWear light clothing (linen or cotton).โ€จ
  8. Wear cooling gems (such as rose quartz, Aquamarine, Sapphire and pearls)๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿ’Žโ€จ
  9. Practice Nasya (nasal oil application) with bhringaradi oil or brahmi ghee ๐Ÿ‘ƒโ€จ
  10. Try a lassi drink. Blend 1 tablespoon of fresh yoghurt with a cup of water and a pinch of cumin powder. Drink this 3-4 x daily, this will help to prevent dehydration and soothes a burning stomach ๐Ÿฅ›
