Our students have been busy this week carefully peeling and preparing fresh Dadima (pomegranate) to make the classical Ayurvedic formulation Dadimasthaka Churna. ❤️✨
In Ayurveda, pomegranate is far more than a delicious fruit. The fruit, its rind, and even the root bark have been valued for centuries for their remarkable medicinal qualities.
Traditionally, Dadima is used to:
🌿 Support healthy digestion and kindle Agni (digestive fire)
🌿 Help relieve acidity due to its naturally alkaline properties
🌿 Support those experiencing IBS and other digestive disorders
🌿 Help manage diarrhoea, including in children (when used appropriately)
🌿 Support bleeding piles
🌿 Strengthen and nourish the heart—something modern research is increasingly exploring too.
Dadimasthaka Churna is a beautiful example of how Ayurveda transforms simple natural ingredients into powerful formulations to restore digestive balance and wellbeing.
If you’re curious to learn more about this classical preparation and how it’s made, keep an eye on this space… we’ll be sharing more tomorrow. 🍎✨
