Dry Brushing vs Garshana Brushing ✋ - Which is better for you?
Have you heard of Dry Brushing? Have you heard of Garshana? Below we will explain a bit more about the process of each - both are very beneficial to add into a daily routine ☀️ Your Ayurvedic Practitioner will inform you which is best for you.

Dry Brushing - many of our clients using a body brush experience an almost immediate impact afterwards. When added to the morning routine, the simple act of body brushing awakens the body and senses. If you are feeling slow, sluggish, lethargic in the morning this practice may be suitable for you. Also great for reducing cellulite and promoting optimal circulation within the body. Those with primarily Kapha or Pitta constitution or imbalances are generally advised to use a dry brush.

Garshana Glove - Silk Glove body brushing. With similar effects as body brushing, the garshana gloves help to improve circulation and gently stimulate movement within the body. The silk glove is recommended to those with more sensitive skin, those more sensitive in physical nature - particularly recommended for those with a Vata constitution due to the gloves soothing and soft nature.

To practice body brushing and garshana, start at the ankles and gently brush in the upwards direction towards the heart ♥️ Perform on all limbs, stomach, back and buttocks. You can brush the chest and neck very lightly with the garshana glove but refrain from brushing these areas with the dry body brush.

Is either one of these part of your daily routine? We would love to hear from you

Good morning. I love your beautiful writing. I live in Pretoria South Africa and am looking for an Ayurveda practitioner. I have been following the philosophy and lifestyle for many years but would love to meet friends with the same outlook. I am elderly and not very much into computers ( willing to try); but a passionate reader. Will keep in touch .
