Dhanyamla Dhara treatment.
Dhanyamla is made out of two words Dhanya (cereals, grains) and amla meaning sour. Dharma means a stream  or pouring. In this treatment the fermented rice water is poured in a uniform stream over the patients body.

We have prepared the formulation according to the classical text Sahasrayoga using rice, rice flakes, horse gram, puffed rice, little millet and kodo millet, ginger, lime and ajmoda.

Dhanyamla dharma shows great benefit for Vata and Kapha disorders. The procedure almost resembles that of Pizhichil, where medicated oil is poured over the body. This treatment can be done over the whole body or only affected areas.

Dhanyamla dhara treatment can be beneficial for the following:

1. Rheumatoid arthritis.

2. Improves blood circulation.

3. Relieves burning sensation.

4. Relieves body aches.

5. Improves skin complexion.

6. Vata and Kapha conditions associated with Ama.

Dhanyamla generates pitta but the same time it reduces burning sensation. In the classical texts Dhanyamla was highlighted with great importance and is extensively practised in the Kerala region.
