At the Lakshmi Ayurveda Academy we are preparing many classical Ayurvedic medicines from scratch, often with the help of our authentic Tamda Kharal. A mortar and pestle used for centuries by Vaidya’s to prepare Ayurvedic medicines.

The stone is called Tamda and it naturally contains copper which is said to enhance the therapeutic effect when preparing Ayurvedic herbs with it.

Why Copper? 👇

According to Ayurveda, copper imparts:
• Lekhana (scraping)
• Krimighna (antimicrobial)

It’s not a lightweight, it weights about 30Kg.🏋️
