Struggling with Digestion or Persistent Bloating?

In Ayurveda, healthy digestive fire 🔥(Agni) is viewed as the cornerstone of overall well-being. When digestion becomes sluggish or weak (Mandagni), it can affect far more than just your stomach.

What Happens When Digestion Slows Down? ❌ When the body doesn’t digest food efficiently, leftover metabolic waste, known as Ama, can accumulate. Over time, these digestive blockages can lead to fatigue, discomfort, and broader mental and physical conditions and disease.

The classical texts describe the condition of an enlarged abdomen, called Udara. The classical Ayurvedic text, Madhava Nidanam, details eight distinct types of Udara. Effective support requires a personalized approach rather than a quick fix depending on the type of Udara, with the main focus always on correcting the state of Agni.

âś… Depending on your unique constitution and symptoms, Ayurvedic recommendations will include dietary adjustments to emphasise easy-to-digest foods. Traditional treatments like Swedana (herbal steam therapy) or Abhyanga (oil massage) may also be suggested.

Deeper cleansing and structured Panchakarma programs are also likely to be included, including Vamana, Virechana, Basti or therapeutic fasting (Langhana) to reset your digestive system.

If you’re dealing with chronic bloating or sluggish digestion, our practitioners are here to support you. May we always remember, food is medicine 💗
