There is so much more to Basti than warm oil and a beautifully formed dough ring.

Kati Basti is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy in which warm medicated oil is gently retained over the lower back. It is traditionally used to support the lower back and to help relieve stiffness, tension and discomfort, particularly in conditions associated with Vata.

But the details matter.

The choice of oil
The temperature 
The duration
The positioning of the client.
The combination with Svedana (sudation therapy)

And, above all, understanding when the treatment is appropriate and how to deliver it safely.

Our Basti Training is a practical two-day immersion into these details, with hands-on learning designed to develop confidence and understanding in performing these traditional Ayurvedic therapies.
