Memories of the Golden Shower Tree (Cassia Fistula) also called Aragwadha in Sanskrit.

There is not one day passing by without thinking or dreaming of India. 🇮🇳🪷

I am forever grateful for all my teachers, especially Dr. L. Mahadevan who is providing continuous support, guidance and encouragement to the Lakshmi clinic. 🙇‍♀️

I was very fortunate to stay in his Gurukulam at the Sri Sarada Hospital in Derisanamcope in the beautiful Tamil Nadu. 🏔️

During my stay, I passed this beautiful Aragwadha tree daily (pictured). I was in awe with the beautiful yellow flowers. It blossoms during the summer months.  🌳🌳🌳

The tree pictured is situated on the temple ground (Shri Ragheveshwarar Temple), just a few minutes walk from the Sri Sarada hospital.

Whenever I see an Aragwadha tree here in Australia, it brings back memories of my time learning from guruji Dr. L. Mahadevan. 🙏

The Aragwadha tree does grow well in the Australian climate and you can find them in the Perth region. 🇦🇺🦘

In love with the beautiful flowers my daughters (Lily and Elva) often go on bike rides in our surroundings, locating all the Aragwadha trees and picking the flowers. 🚴‍♀️🌳❤️👧🏼👧🏼

Today we are having this tree planted in our garden, a very special moment. 🌳

The tree is in honour of Dr L Mahadevan Sir and his family bringing back fond memories and connecting me with one of my favourite places in the world.

I can’t thank Dr L Mahadevan Sir and his family enough for always welcoming me in the beautiful village of Derisanamcope. 🙏🙏🙏
