Are you feeling congested, dealing with headaches, or chronic sinusitis…? 💨
Let us introduce you to Dhumapana — the ancient Ayurvedic practice of medicinal smoke inhalation.
Smoke is inhaled through the nose and exhaled through the mouth 👃💨👄, often done alongside Nasya and Akshi Tarpana (Ayurvedic eye treatment). This treatment helps remove excess Kapha, and for the best effect and proper elimination of doshas, it’s repeated 3 times — 3 inhalations, 3 exhalations (per the Arunodaya commentary by Govindan Vaidyar) 😮💨
The Dhumavati (herbal cigarette) is hand-rolled with a blend of Ayurvedic herbs chosen for each client’s needs — Rasnadi, Guggulu, Dashamoola and more 🌿
This week our students got to roll their own Dhumavati from scratch — such a special, hands-on way to learn this ancient art ✨
Preparing Dhumavati always brings Karin back to her time at Dr. L Mahadevan’s Sri Sarada hospital
Have you experienced this treatment before?
A consultation is recommended to make sure this treatment is suitable for you. We’re offering consults Monday to Saturday with Karin and Roberta 💚
