Benefits of Fennel
Karin is foraging the Lakshmi garden for wild fennel 🌿👩🌾

Wild fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) is a versatile plant with many culinary, medicinal, and ecological uses. 🌿🌿🌿

In Ayurveda, wild fennel—often referred to as Shatpushpa (Sanskrit: शतपुष्पा)—is a highly valued medicinal and culinary herb. It is closely related to the cultivated fennel (Foeniculum vulgare), but the wild variety tends to be more aromatic and potent in its therapeutic properties.

Wild Fennel (Shatpushpa):

🌿Kindles Agni (digestive fire) — reduces bloating and heaviness
🌿Supports women’s health — eases cramps and promotes lactation
🌿Calms Vata — relieves gas, abdominal pain and restlessness
