An authentic Tamda Kharal. A mortar and pestle used for centuries by Vaidya’s to prepare Ayurvedic medicines. 
The stone is called Tamda and it naturally contains copper which is said to enhance the therapeutic effect when preparing Ayurvedic herbs using it. It’s not a lightweight, it weights about 30Kg.
