SEE the difference with Akshi Tarpana Eye Treatment!
Have you been suffering from dry eyes with the change of season? Perhaps eye strain from too much work on your computer If so, Akshi Tarpana treatment may be suitable for you!
Akshi Tarpana is an Ayurvedic procedure where medicated ghee is retained over the eyes for a specific duration. In this video, our Ayurvedic therapist Marion is preparing the dough for treatment today.
The medicated ghee nourishes and strengthens the entire structure of the eyes. The treatment is very beneficial to protect and prevent degeneration. It is also indicated in the following conditions:
Dry eyes, squinting, losing eye lashes, ophthalmological conditions, optic nerve atrophy, eye strain (computer work, air condition, heaters), macular degeneration and drooping of the eye lids.
How does the treatment work?
A gentle head, eyes and face massage is performed After the massage, a frame of dough is placed around both eyes. The frame is filled with medicated ghee. Once the eyes are covered with the ghee, the patient opens and closes them several times before the ghee is removed.
You will be advised to avoid the sun and other bright objects after completing the treatment. To book in for a Tarpana treatment, you are welcome to call 0406 810 547. A consultation is required before treatment to ensure it is suitable for you and to determine which type of medicated ghee will be most beneficial.
We suggest taking the treatment in a series of 3-7, even 14 days for best results.
From the Lakshmi Team, we wish you a great afternoon.
