    Ayurvedic Perspective on Guduchi
    Ayurvedic Perspective on Guduchi

Also called Tinospora Cordifolia, Guduchi is an herb widely used in Ayurvedic Pharmacology.

Guduchi is known for both its detoxifying and rejuvenation qualities, making it a powerful herb to treat all three doshas.

Taste (Rasa): Bitter, astringent and pungent.
    Potency (Virya): Heating.
    Post-digestive effect (Vipaka): Sweet.

Despite its heating qualities, Guduchi is known for pacifying excess Pitta Dosha, making it a very unique herb. Guduchi is often used to reduce blood sugar in diabetes, reduce inflammation and fever and to detoxify the liver. It is also used in the anaemia and bronchitis.

The light qualities of Guduchi give it the ability to penetrate the tissues of the body, providing cleansing and rejuvenation to the dhatus.

Some of the other benefits of Guduchi include:

    Improves complexion.
    Purifies the blood.
    Great for strengthening immunity.
    Strengthening for the bodily tissues.

Guduchi is also used to treat Gout, also called Vata Rakta, and Hyperacidity, called Amlapitta.
