Certified Shiordhara Training Course
Lakshmi Ayurveda Academy is pleased to offer a certified Shirodhara Therapist Training, designed for therapists and practitioners seeking advanced training in one of Ayurveda’s most profound therapeutic treatments.
This three-day course offers in-depth training in Shirodhara treatment — a deeply restorative and balancing treatment renowned for its many benefits to wellbeing.

The training is led by Karin Gunthor, Senior Facilitator at Lakshmi Ayurveda, with over 18 years of clinical and teaching experience in Ayurveda. The academy is widely recognised as a leading Ayurvedic training institution in Australia, offering authentic teachings, expert facilitation, and immersive clinical experience.
This course is certified by IICT (International Institute for Complementary Therapists), an internationally recognised certification body. Graduates are eligible to apply for professional indemnity insurance as a complementary therapist upon successfully completing the course.
To meet pre-requisites, applicants must have completed one of the following:
- Yoga Teacher Training (200 hours)
- Ayurvedic Studies (300 hours)
- Massage Training (minimum 16 hours)
- Lakshmi’s Abhyanga Therapist Training (next training to be held in April)
