Lakshmi Bath Powder

Bathing powder is something I didn’t grow up with in Germany and it was a new experience learning about this over 18 years ago during my Bhaisajya Kalpana (Ayurvedic herbal pharmaceutics) studies. 

I was literally amazed at how soft my skin felt and inhaled the beautiful grounding scent of the herbs. I Love having my daily bath and I couldn’t imagine without my bath powder. 

The recipe we use at the clinic is a traditional formulation that was taught by one of my inspirational teachers Dr Gayathri Bhat. This makes our formulation so special. 

All the herbs are blood purifiers, cleansing and have exfoliating action. 

The Lakshmi bath powder is made with a number of Ayurvedic herbs specially formulated to nourish, cleanse and rejuvenate your skin. The powder has an exfoliation action, leaving your skin feeling so soft and smooth!

Ingredients include chickpea flour, rice flour, gram flour, Haridra, Neem, Guduchi, Triphala, Brahmi, Dasamoola and Khadira. Each of these ingredients has a unique action on the skin.

Neem is known for its antibacterial properties as well as its anti-aging properties. It is also anti-fungal and is great for treating skin conditions and breakouts.

Haridra (Turmeric), Guduchi and Triphala are great for treating inflammation of the skin. Brahmi and Khadira have a detoxifying action for the skin, as do many of the other herbs used in this formulation.

To use the powder, simply apply to the skin. Leave it on for about 10 minutes. Take a bath and wash off the powder, massaging the powder into the skin before rinsing.
