The beauty oil of Ayurveda
It’s Day 2 of our Certified Ayurvedic Facial Therapist Course πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ’•βœ¨

Our students are deep into their learning and hands-on practice, supported every step of the way by Karin as they learn this luxurious treatment πŸ’«

Facial massage offers so many benefits, including πŸ‘‡πŸΌΒ
β€’ Anti-aging support
β€’ Calming emotions
β€’ Promoting healthy skin and a natural radiant glow
β€’ Supporting good sleep and overall longevity

As part of the curriculum, we use Kumkumadi Thailam - the queen of Ayurvedic facial oils. It is our absolute favourite and most highly recommended beauty oil, celebrated for its complexion-enhancing qualities. The star ingredient is saffron (known as Kumkuma or Keshar in Sanskrit), which gives the oil its signature gentle red tint ❣️

Kumkumadi Thailam helps enhance skin tone, support depigmentation, reduce the signs of aging, soothe acne and scarring, and provide an even, luminous complexion 😍 All you need is a few drops each evening, smoothed into a light layer across the skin.

Before applying the oil, we suggest prepping the skin with our Lakshmi-made Varnya Lepa face pack to cleanse and exfoliate. These herbs belong to the Varnya group described in the Charaka Samhita (Sutra Sthana, Chapter 4). Our absolute favourite herbs in this blend include chandana (sandalwood), ushira, madhuka (licorice), manjistha, and sariva - and it smells heavenly! 🌱🌿
