The soup of the month is our most loved Ginger soup ๐ซ๐ซ ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ

Ginger is very commonly used in Ayurvedic cooking and Ayurvedic medicine preparations.๐ฟ๐ชด
Ginger clears AMA (digestive toxins) from the plasma and blood. It warms the digestive system, increases agni (digestive fire) and the secretion of enzymes. It clears colds and alleviates cough and breathing difficulties. Ginger is useful in indigestion, asthma, nausea, and manyย more ailments ๐ซ
๐ซAyurveda uses dry ginger (sunthi) and fresh ginger (Ardraka).
๐ซThe Sanskrit word ardraka means moist and sunthi means dry.
๐ซDry ginger is warm in nature and fresh is more heating.
Ginger facts:๐ซ๐ซ๐ซ
Dry ginger is light and unctuous while wet ginger is more heavy, drying and sharp in nature.
Ayurvedic actions:
* Deepana/ Pachana - improves digestive fire and digests Ama ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
* Agni deepana - enkindles agni๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
* Grahi - absorbes fluids from the intestine
* Vedanasthapana - alleviates pain, especially musculoskeletal pain ๐ซ
So many good reasons to make this delicious ginger soup ๐ฒ
Ingredients:
1/4 to 1/2 cup of finely chopped ginger ๐ซ
1/2 cup of grated carrots ๐ฅ
1 finely chopped celery
3/4 cup of grated cabbage ๐ฅฌ
1 tsp of Olive oil
700ml of vegetable stock
1/2 sprig coriander ๐
1 sprig curry leaves chopped ๐ฟ
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp of cinnamon, cumin powder and turmeric
Super easy to make:
๐ซHeat the oil in a sauce pan
๐ซSautรฉ the chopped ginger. Add the grated vegetables. Sautรฉ until cooked
๐ซAdd spice
๐ซAdd vegetable stock and bring to simmer. Cook for 10 more minutes
๐ซGarnish with curry and coriander leaves
Enjoy this super delicious and detoxifying soup.
