About Onam 👇
Onam is a special festival celebrated in Kerala to welcome the return of King Mahabali, a kind and fair ruler. People believe he visits his people once a year to see if they are happy and living well. Onam also marks the harvest season and is a time to thank nature for giving us food. People celebrate with flower decorations called Pookalam, a big feast called Onasadya, games and dances. Onam teaches us to be kind, share with others, and live together in peace.
