Today we honour Lord Dhanwantari, the divine physician and father of Ayurvedic Medicine, on this auspicious day known as Dhanteras Day. ππΏπ·
A special day at Lakshmi Ayurveda, with offerings at our clinic altars and a small Pooja at our newly renovated shop, bringing prayers, gratitude and blessings into these spaces.
According to Hindu tradition, Lord Dhanwantari emerged from the churning of the cosmic ocean of milk, carrying the pot of Amrita, the nectar of immortality, and bringing the sacred wisdom of Ayurveda to the world.
Goddess MahaLakshmi is also believed to have manifested on this same auspicious day, with her own beautiful story and significance.
May the wisdom of Ayurveda continue to flourish and bless the world. We feel truly honoured to learn, practise and share this ancient Science of Life.
