What a wonderful day, celebrating World Ayurveda Day 2025 at the Indian community centre @indiansocietyofwa with friends, colleagues, clients and community. Thank you @consulategeneralofindiaperth for collaborating and supporting this great event. 🙏🇮🇳

Talks, quizzes, Q&A, chai and yummy snacks. There couldn’t have been a better way to celebrate this auspicious day. 🙌

We honoured Lord Dhanwantari, the father of Ayurvedic Medicine and incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Also known as Dhanteras, this celebration is followed within Hindu tradition in India and all around the world. It is written that one who remembers the name of Dhanvantari can be released from all disease.” Lord Dhanvantari is worshipped throughout India as the God of Medicine. 🙏🏼

Goddess MahaLakshmi was also born on the same day hence the day is celebrated for both.

He rose from the churning of the milk ocean, bringing the nectar of immortality, 🌞 the elixir of life to establish the tradition of Ayurveda to the world.🌍

May Ayurveda, the Science of Life, continue to bless the world with its ancient wisdom and universal knowledge.

Dhanwantari Mantra 🙏🏼

“Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaaya Dhanvantaraye
Amrita-kalasha Hastaaya
Sarva-amaya Vinashaaya
Trailokya Naathaya Shrimaha Vishnave Namaha”

We pray to Lord Dhanvantari. He holds the Kalasha (pot) of the nectar of immortality. Lord Dhanvantari removes all fears and diseases. He is the well wisher and preserver of the three worlds. Dhanvantari is a form of Lord Vishnu, empowered to heal. We bow down to you.

Remembrance to beloved guruji @dr.l.mahadevan 🙏. Dr L Mahadevan Sir was the winner of the National Dhanwantari Ayurveda Award 2023, he has written 72 books on Ayurved. His contribution to the field of Ayurveda is unparalleled and he will be missed forever.
