It is called Podi Kizhi or Churna Sveda and is “the best treatment” to provide relief from pain, inflammation, swelling and stiffness.

Herbal powders are warmed and tied in a cloth to make a bundle.
The Potali (herbal bundle) is heated in oil and massaged with mild pressure over the body.
This treatment is followed by a steam bath (Bashpa Veda).
