In the classical texts it is said that when the suitable anupana is taken in appropriate quantity along with the compatible food or medicine is given it will be the following:
1.An appetiser (agni dipaka)
2.Dosa shamaka (mitigates the aggravated dosha)
3.Relieves thirst (pipasa chedaka)
4.Nourishes the plasma (rasakara)
5.Imparts good complexion (varnakara)
6.Strengthening (balakaraka)
7.It quickly spreads all through the body (vyapta)
