The Cosmic Dance. Shiva Nataraja at our clinic.
The smiling Shiva is performing the Tandava, the cosmic dance in which the universe is created, maintained and dissolved. Shivas lower right hand makes the abhaya Mudra a gesture of blessings which calms all fear.
How to do it:
Raise your right hand to the chest level with the palm facing forward.
Place your left hand on your left thigh in the your lap or on your heart.
It gives the believer protection and freedom from fear. It also shows the strength of Lord Shiva.
