“Anyone who knows me well, knows I LOVE my oats in the morning.
Oats are a great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber & antioxidants.
A component of soluble fibre found in abundance in oats, beta glucan, has been found to be especially beneficial for helping to lower cholesterol, as well benefitting our digestion. Beta glucans support healthy gut flora.
I soak my oats overnight with raisins so that the sweetness from the raisins soaks into the oats! I then heat with some warming spices, including freshly grated ginger and a little ghee.
Warming, soothing and sooo satisfying.
