Have you heard of this unique Ayurvedic treatment before?
If you suffer from poor eyesight, dry or puffy eyes, and other eye conditions this might be the right treatment for you.
Here at the clinic we stress the importance of taking care of our eyes from a young age to prevent degeneration. Ayurveda has a number of treatments, herbs and lifestyle recommendations to nourish and strengthen the eyes.
The entire human body is made up of the Panchamahabhutas, the elements. Ayurveda teaches us that the eyes include all of the elements – air, ether, fire, water and earth. The dominant element in the eyes is the element of fire and Alochaka Pitta governs the functioning of our eyes.
The black portion of our eye is related to the air element, the sclera from the water, tear ducts from the element of space, the muscles as the earth element and the blood vessels as fire.
There are a number of Ayurvedic remedies suggested for treating conditions of the eyes. One of our favorite treatments is Akshi Tarpana. In this treatment, medicated ghee is warmed and placed in a ring of dough around the eyes. This treatment is indicated to prevent degeneration, dryness of the eyes, eye strain, macular degeneration and more.
Nurturing the eyes is so important, especially as we age. If you have any questions, you are welcome to email us at email@example.com or call/text 0406 810 547 or ask Alice how she felt after her treatment.
With love from Lakshmi Ayurveda. We look forward to nourish your eyes.
Have a beautiful weekend
