Easter and Ayurveda

Just as Easter provides abundant rebirthing energy, the Indian Hindu religion uses different methods of improving energy, vitality and renewing the body. One method is through the use with the use of the Shiva Lingam.

Shiva Lingam is a sacred stone used in the Hindu religion. They are used to intensify the vitality and level of pranic energy within your body, simulating the entire energy system.

The vibration of the stones have different actions depending on where they’re placed. The stone holds within it the feeling of unity and duality. The masculine part of the stone can be seen through its phallic shape, the feminine in the egg shape. The stone as a whole recognizes unity of the energies.

The Shiva Lingam stones in the Lakshmi shop come from the Narmada River in Western India, one of India’s most holy sites. The villagers gather the stones from the river and hand polish them so that they are a smooth rounded shape. Their colours are all unique, but generally are a tan colour with various brown, red or grey stripes, spots or patches.
